In this workshop, you’ll learn to recognize patterns in music to build up your toolbox that can be used both in reading and memorizing printed music, and in playing by ear and improvisation. Melodic and rhythmic patterns, chord patterns, and patterns of overall song form will be covered with both notated music and rote “by ear” exercises.
