You will need some improvisation experience for this workshop and to be comfortable with Root-5-Octave left hand patterns. In this workshop you’ll learn how to establish a groove in a variety of time signatures and rhythmic feels, and how to maintain the feel as you improvise. We’ll cover: Swing in 4/4, Jazz waltz, Bossa Nova and other Latin grooves, a few different Jig rhythms, and some odd time signatures.
