Saturday, October 17th 10 am - 12 pm pacific This workshop is for lever or pedal harp. Galicia is a province in Spain with a unique culture. The dance music that was traditionally played on the Galician bagpipe called "gaita" and fiddles is also fun and lovely on harp! You'll learn a few waltzes (including a carol) and mazurkas in 3/4, and a few muiñeiras, which, like jigs, are in 6/8 time -- but with some surprising syncopation! A set of tunes that will add to your repertoire whether in therapeutic settings or concert presentations! Cost of the workshop: $30 per person
