In this workshop, you will learn how to apply chord extensions and substitutions, along with rhythmic elements from modern styles to co-create "jazzy" arrangements in real-time during the two-hour workshop. Handouts will be provided, including chord substitution charts, chord extension charts, and traditional tunes that can be used during class for arranging. Verlene will demonstrate using Sibelius how the ideas can be implemented. At the end of the workshop, you'll get a PDF of all the arrangements created during the workshop that you can add to, change, or play as they were arranged in class. The class will be limited in size.
